Cultural Workers Expanding Human Rights to All

Cultural workers intentionally produce culture through the objects and symbols that form the cultural landscape of community life. We construct community life through words, sounds, tastes, movements, spaces, objects, shapes, colours, images and other symbols.

The Cultural Workers Cooperative is dedicated to a cultural life that cherishes life, respects human rights and advances justice. We advance love, joy and passion for life.

  • Raise a platform
We seek to influence the work of other cultural workers by giving voice to the cultural work of liberation and by advancing and sharing our ideas about cultural work. The platform we build is intended to create new spaces for new thinkers and creators of culture.
  • Build a network
The Cultural Workers Cooperative is a network that brings together cultural workers to learn from each other and share ideas and projects. We connect our work to each other and to the communities of which we are part.
  • Develop cultural work
We develop skills and gain knowledge in order to improve our work. We build creative spaces to conduct our work. And we seek critical and constructive feedback from each other.
  • Share cultural work
We share our work with each other and the community. We promote ideas, seek greater influence, draw attention and develop relationships in order to get our ideas, projects and products out there and used.
  • Advance justice
We cherish life, respect human rights and advance justice. We create cultural spaces that are joyful and thoughtful. We create cultural experiences that challenge society to justice. We fight for justice, join in solidarity and use our skills and crafts to advance our values.
